MEGAN KARD | product designer

Megan Kard

I'm a product designer based in the San Francisco Bay Area who's passionate about business strategy, cognitive-based design decisions, and the intersection of empathic UX and beautiful design. I work for an analytics start-up in SF and previously consulted with HealthTech and EdTech clients conducting user research, developing new UX, creating platform style guides, and building out apps from scratch. You may also find me digging around dashboards and researching CRO strategies just to lend a hand.

Background & Side Projects

I launched my Product Design career by working with early stage Silicon Valley start-ups following UX/UI design collaboration on a Google.org-funded platform. I have a formal design background, most recently studying Graphic Arts at Laney College in Oakland & Art at Berkeley City College. I obtained my Bachelor Of Science degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Redlands, and completed part of my biomedical studies at King's College London in the United Kingdom.

My print designs can be seen throughout the Bay Area in branding & marketing materials for community music organizations, independent game companies, and local nonprofits.  Past design work has centered on publicity, brand identity & logo design.  As a side hobby I do abstract artwork in marker and ink that explores philosophical themes about humanity & experience.  My pieces have been featured as part of showcases at Berkeley City College.  You can also find me staging photoshoots for print projects and taking landscape photography on hikes around the Bay.

For more information on my work, to get in touch regarding employment opportunities, or to just say hello, feel free to contact me.
